Anti-Hero

Today's Trifextra Challenge is to write the origin story of any super-hero in 33 words. I had a chance to really flex my geek wings here but I went another way.

Big sister hero
Underdog defender
Sleeping with hunger
Dreaming of tomorrow

Villainous violation
Rabbit homicide
Run away Needle-Dick
Simmering revenge

Scholarship superpowers
Postpartum fraternity
Mid-term chocolate pickles
Summa cum maternity

Super Single Mom!

    1. I couldn't figure out how to vilify peeing on a stick. I actually thought that woud be relavent metaphor but you are probably right. To be honest I was thinking Arrowsmith "can't catch me cause the rabbit done died" Maybe a little abstract. OH well. Somedays your the windshield and somedays your the bug.

    2. I personally think the rabbit is brilliant (though I can't get an image of Elmer Fudd out of my head! ;) )- and now that you've thrown in some Steven Tyler, you could even turn her into an idol! I like the way you ended on the summa cum maternity (which I think is one of the flips you made).

  15. I am not sure how single moms do it. What an awesome responsibility to have thrust upon one person. To all of the hard-working, loving, caring women out there who have helped nurture and raise good citizens for our world, thank you and bless you all. Great choice for the prompt, Sam.

  16. I was a single working parent and when my daughter was about 9 months to 2.5 years. It was tough. In some ways it was tougher for me because I had no how to dress or do hair and all that. But I think over all its tougher on the women. I certainly never had to put up with the disapproving stares while I went in lamaas class alone finishing university off like this gal with child. Overall single parents are all heros but a tie goes to the women I would say. I'm not going to get into labor other that to say if men were responsible for labor there would be no world population crisis and allot more planned c-sections.

  17. In India we still don't get to see many of these single Moms-especially the unmarried ones-its still a stigma! However, with increasing urbanization ,divorces are becoming more common -we also have some who have lost their spouses but then we still have a strong family support-so its easier.I definitely salute those parents who bring up their kids single-handed,while holding a full time job among other things:-)A great piece Sam!
