I think …
therefore I am.
I am Sam …
That's the Man that I am.
And man I'm doing the Best that I can
to be the Best Sam ...
the Sam that I am!
to be the Best Sam ...
the Sam that I am!
by Sam.
Yup I'm a word nerd!
Nicely done. Getting all those Sams in.
ReplyDeleteYa that was fun.
ReplyDeleteA good tribute to Dr Seuss, he would be 109 today.

ReplyDeleteYay ... lol. Quite the swing from my usual sad content :)
ReplyDeleteI love that expression word nerd. I think it applies to me, too.
ReplyDeleteYes I love our language :)
ReplyDeleteLove Dr. Seuss, love Sam I Am, love this!!! And lovely tribute.
ReplyDeleteIts funny because it started with the Descartes quote "I think therefore I am" which is the mantra for existentialism and ground zero for speaking in the first person ... then I just rambled off those lines very effortlessly - the whole thing was done in 90 seconds. The whole thing has just been FUN! I'm having a trifexellent time!
DeleteHis birthday was a total fluke!
Sometimes the stars just align. Enjoy it!

Let me guess......this isn't the first time you and Sam-I-Am have been one and the same? Lol. It amazes me how "heavy" some responses to the prompt become and how light and breezy yours seems to be. Very well done. Rock on, you Swami of Seuss!
ReplyDeleteIt going to sound funny but I'm not actually even Sam - that my nom de plume as it were. But do do love my Dr Suess.
DeleteLove it! Green eggs and Ham is one of my all time favorites and a very timely post as well!
ReplyDelete:) thanks
DeleteYou captured his style, oh, so very well, I'd have to say, your piece is just swell. Sorry, couldn't resist my lame effort to pay tribute to the Master and to you for your excellent piece.
ReplyDeleteIt went quite well,
DeleteI can tell,
It didn't smell,
My head won't swell,
So what the hell?
Or whatever .... Thanks Lum
What a delightful response to the challenge Sam - you are.
ReplyDeleteJSut nothing but this weekend! It been a blast
DeleteMy son is Sam. He loves that book. He hates hates hates green eggs and ham. But if you tell him the ham is "Aunt Holly's special lunchmeat" and serve him barbecue sauce, he'll devour it. Eggs, however, are harder to conceal.
ReplyDeleteSay hi to lil SAm :)
DeleteI love this tribute to Dr. Seuss. I think I have 'One fish, Two fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish' memorized for it seems both my daughters adored it. (My 7 year old still doing so). Wonderful read!!
ReplyDeleteLove 1 fish - 2 fish!
DeleteDr. suize once taught me.
ReplyDeleteAll humans, free should be.
Dreaming or drunk was he?!!
As detentions all I see.
Pardon Dr. I disagree.
All humans, humans should be!
I sees I see, It sounds good to me ...
DeleteSo you're not Sam though Sam you are?!!
DeleteI'll stop here. Can not go too far! :D
