Haiku Heights: Daredevil

I was a kid in the seventies.
We didn't have x-box or computers.
Yoyos and slinkies were high technology.
But you should see what we could do with a mustang bike!
Hair straight back with tears in our ears.
And we didn't wear helmets.

dumb looking helmets
jeepers creepers they're no fun

kids hit jumps at ninety miles

mine looks like a question mark

we're laughing our butts off at

  2. I was that kid trying to tight rope walk the clothesline and jumping off roofs, jumped out of a moving car once at about 20 miles an hour and somehow I have never needed stitches or broken a bone! I am not like that now that I am older but I enjoyed being outdoors the non technology enhanced childhood I am sad kids just live vicariously through tv.

  6. In the sixties the bike of choice was the "Stingray." And only a dork would wear a helmet.
