Fortitude

This week's prompt for Haiku Heights is Fortitude.

As I was playing around with the language and ideas surrounding fortitude

The words "Parent"and "Father" kept popping up.

So, with that said,  here are this week's Haiku submissions

From the father of three girls ...

  3. Even this old guy, childless by choice, can relate to these--especially "tongue ring heart attack."

  10. Well done Dad - Dads have a tougher job these days than when mine were little - Mum did it all (me). At least the tasks are shared more fairly these days. You show great fortitude!

  12. Had to smile at all of these, especially the "OMG Dad, please" as my house of all boys are teenagers or close to it! Sounds like you are a great Dad!

  14. An epic haiku strand! Loved the poop at 2 am, the "OMG" of it all, and of course, the "tongue ring heart attack." I would DIE if Riley pierced her tongue, as she has a bit of a speech impediment, kind of like Geena Davis, that marble-mouth way of speech, quite charming. But add the lisp of a tongue piercing to it and OY VEY!

Beautifully imagined, so true to life. Loved it! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting, too. Amy
